Workflow Setup for UV Printing
This class teaches students how to create, organize, and export artwork for different UV printing workflows using Adobe Illustrator. Participants will learn to choose the correct color modes, layers, and export formats for specific output types—ensuring files are clean, accurate, and production-ready.
Through hands-on demonstrations, students will build step-by-step files for workflows such as UV Print, Digital Output, Print & Cut, Texture Build, Multiple Export, and Variable Data Printing. Each section covers file setup, layer organization, color control, and export preparation for use with RasterLink, FineCut, or other RIP software.
By the end of the class, students will know how to confidently prepare UV print files with proper spot colors, white and gloss layers, and texture effects, as well as how to streamline exports for digital, laser, or data-driven workflows. The session closes with a practical review and a short project combining two workflows to reinforce real-world application.
