Creating Jig Templates
This class teaches students how to design precise jig templates for UV printing and laser cutting. Participants will learn how to measure physical products with calipers, create outlines using photo tracing or mathematical methods, and align multiple product shapes within a printer’s bed layout.
Through hands-on demonstrations, students will build and test-fit their jigs using the print-and-cut method, adjusting outlines until the fit is perfect. The class also covers adding bleeds, registration marks, and alignment techniques to ensure flawless print placement.
By the end of the session, attendees will have the skills to create accurate, production-ready jig layouts that streamline setup, improve consistency, and ensure perfect product alignment on every print.
